Hello, I am Gabrielle, a Bristol-based artist, originally from the North West of England. I focus on landscape painting using oils on canvas and chalk drawings.My landcapes are based on snapshots of places I have visited or lived such as Liverpool, London, Bristol, North Wales and Devon and Cornwall. The common theme of my paintings is the use of colour and light, I love the different colours of the sky from one day to the next, changing weather conditions and light quality. I like playing with perspectives and traditional landscape formats. The results is an image which is reminiscent of the original location but dreamlike and abstracted.
